BACKGROUND AND AIMS
“FibroRes vzw is an independent, nonprofit organization that wants to promote basic, translational and socio-economic research on fibromyalgia. FibroRes intends to play a role in guiding strategic (political) decisions that have an important impact on daily life, diagnosis and treatment of people with fibromyalgia.”
FibroRes vzw was founded in autumn 2013. Our main goal is to support and stimulate research on fibromyalgia (cause, treatment) and to publish research results. This research comprises basic research (in the laboratory), clinical research and socio-economic research (what are the needs in daily life).
THE TEAM
“Diversity is the keyword within the organization of vzw FibroRes. This is obvious from the diverse educational backgrounds from our volunteers. The majority of the board members consists out of researchers specializing in various areas, e.g. medical biotechnology, psychology, medical imaging, nursing and more.”
